INTERNATIONAL LAW: POSTGRADUATE COURSE ON INTERNATIONAL MIGRATION LAW, REGISTRATION OPEN UNTIL AUGUST 26th

Registration process of the new edition of the international and migration law training program, is open until Friday, August 26th. This third edition of the course is a joint project between Sant’Anna School Institute Dirpolis (Law, Politics, and Development) and Asgi (Association for Legal Studies on Immigration) "training center on the rights of immigrants" project activities. Classes will be held on September 5 - 10, 2016.

The course aims to offer a comprehensive training and basic legal framework on migration issues. In particular, the program offers in-depth analysis of international problems such as conflict, migration, and asylum, an overview of the international human rights law context, the role and responsibility of the institutions involved in the integration process, the fundamental rights of foreign people, exploring the evolution of the international legal system and the development of the principles of international law.

The course is intended both for those who want to learn international law, both to those who want to improve their education. The course is specifically designed for lawyers, social workers, educators, practitioners, journalists, civil servants, researchers, PhD students and college graduates.

Entire course attendance gives 20 credits for lawyers, and 4 credits are awarded to lawyers for one day lessons (up to a maximum of 16 credits for 4 day lessons). The course is offered also in standard version and 3 ECTS credits can be earned if the final examination is successfully passed. Social workers may request credits recognition according to credit transfer policy developed by their professional body.
